Christmas is Over!

We had a busy, but great Christmas. At one point, I thought it would never end. Colson had so much fun, but I think he was totally wiped out by the time Thursday evening rolled around.

All the festivities started on Wednesday by going to Jeremiah's grandparents at noon, then to my memaws that night. (I forgot my camera at home for the first event.) Also, Jeremiah and I open our presents that night after Colson has gone to bed so that on Christmas morning we can concentrate on Colson.

(My memaw, my sister and I)

(Colson waiting for Santa to arrive.)

(Santa and Colson)

On Christmas morning, we woke up, let Colson open his presents, get dressed, head to my parents, eat breakfast, open presents, clean up, then (this is where the plans change) we are supposed to be heading to LR to Chris and Aimee's house to have Christmas with the Kindy's. Like I said, the plans change.... Chris and Aimee both caught the stomach bug Christmas Eve night and were sick all thru the night, so at 845 Christmas morning, we are having a slight change of houses. We end up going to Jody and Lyndsey's house and everyone but Aimee was able to make it. (I also forgot my camera for Kindy Christmas...)

(Jeremiah opening some of his stuff)

(Colson opening Santa gifts)

(Santa left a letter for Colson, telling him that he had left something in Daddy's shop, and that he needed to go look in there, and Colson was "reading" this to me.)

(Colson and his new 4-wheeler that he had to go find!!)

(Colson and his new movie from nana and papaw, he loves all the singing in the movie Hairspray!)

(Colson and his new laptop from Sean, AKA Seanny-Boo, (Julie's Boyfriend). Thanks Sean)

We also have another Christmas tonight and I'll post some pics of that soon!

Colson is going to be a BIG BROTHER!

That's right, we have another little one on the way! We are so excited and cannot wait for our first appointment with the Dr. I will be going back to my same doctor who deliverd Colson, which was Dr. Clint Henson at St. Jospeh's in Hot Springs.

As for me, I am already showing, believe it or not, but I wore some fabulous maternity pants to church on Sunday. I am not feeling too terrible, but I am very naseous. Other than that, everything is good. We are thinking I am about 7 or 8 weeks, so our new bundle of joy should be here around the later part of July. Colson is very excited and cannot wait for the baby to crawl out of mommy's belly. We will keep updating as we know more!!

Christmas Tag

I found this Christmas Tag on several peoples Blogs and thought I would start a tag! At the end you will find who I tagged to keep this going! Enjoy!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot chocolate. I have never had egg nog, but the thought of an egg drink makes me gag.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
When Santa comes to my house to see Colson, he leaves them wrapped all in the same paper, when I was younger, he wrapped those too, but not all alike.

3. Colored lights on house/tree or white lights?
White!

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No, but I would like to get some! Where do you get it?

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but this year, I bought all new ornaments, so I put the tree up like 10 days before Thanksgiving.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
anything not made into a casserole

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
This is terrible, but I don't have anything coming to mind. I just remember I always used to try to see Santa leaving the gifts.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I don't remember exactly but I know it was sometime in elementary school.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Now that I am married with a child, Jeremiah and I open ours from each other the night before once Colson has gone to bed so that on Christmas morning, we can devote everything to Colson's stuff from Santa.

10. How do you decorate your tree?
It's different every year, but this year I did a peacock themed tree!

11. Snow! Love it or dread it?
I love to see snow, but if I have clients scheduled, I dread it!

12. Can you ice skate?
I used to know how, but I remember it always hurting my feet. It's been a few years since I tried.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I can't remember a favorite gift. I think I probably always had a favorite gift each year.

14. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you?
Spending time with my family and celebrating Christ's birth.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
pecan pie

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
We have always go to my mom's house and do Christmas early Christmas morning and have all my sisters and nephews over and we do presents and breakfast or brunch.

17. What tops your Christmas tree?
A huge bow with long streamers and glittery sticks out the top of the bow.

18. Which do you prefer-giving or receiving?
I really like giving more. Especially if I feel like I got someone something they really, really wanted or needed!

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
It changes year to year.

20. Candy Canes-yum or yuck?
Yum, I love them.

21. What do you want for Christmas?
This is hard... I asked for a sewing machine, a Hobo, and a dishwasher, I hope I get one of them!

22. Do you attend an annual Christmas party?
Not really.

23. Do you dress up on Christmas or wear PJs?
Christmas morning, my sister and I got semi-matching PJ pants to wear to our moms. I know, we are lame.

24. Do you own a Santa hat?
No

25. Who do you normally spend Christmas with?
The entire family, both Jeremiah's and mine. Let's see, Christmas eve, we are going to Jeremiah's grandmas, then to my memaws that night, then on Christmas day, we start at our house, then to my moms, and then to Jeremiah's brothers house (in Little Rock) for Christmas with his dad and brothers, and then on the following Saturday, we are going to Jeremiah's mom's. Sheesh!

I tag Aimee and Anna!

Colson's 1st Day of Deer Season

Jeremiah called me Sunday afternoon and informed me he was going to come home on Monday pick-up Colson and go back to the deer woods and stay at camp again... Well, Jeremiah came home, got Colson and all his things and then talked me into going out to the woods with them. I knew that would be a good idea, because I knew Colson would not cooperate in the tree stand and be quite, so this way we could let him "hunt" and then Colsie and I would come back home.

I was right, Colson didn't quite grasp onto the idea of being quite so he played in the dirt, drew pictures in his notebook and looked for a few deer... I have posted some pictures of the day. I thought he looked super cute!

Colson, daddy, and daddy's horns (which are going on Colson's wall in his room)...

I can't wait till Jeremiah and Colson get to do all the hunting by themselves, ...Jeremiah is such a good daddy...

Our Little Frank

Colson loved Halloween this year. This was the first year we really took him door to door trick or treating! He had so much fun picking out which houses he wanted to go to. I also am posting a few pics from the Halloween parade they had at preschool Thursday morning.

(Colson was wanting to hold Braden's hand and Bray wasn't having any part of it.)

(at the Halloween party at school)

(during the parade, I think he got bored)

(at my mom's before we headed out to get lots of candy!)

The Boring Kindy's

When I last updated my blog, we had too much going on to even talk about, and now, well... we have nothing to speak of.

However, I haven't made a post about Colson becoming a TRUE, OFFICIAL, 100% Kindy boy. The adoption is finally all finished and we got all our paper work back from the judge, and now all we are waiting on is his new Social Security Card and Birth Certificate. (in the slide show from the last post, you will see some pictures from the park and with the Owl Cake, that was his adoption party.) We are so excited to finally all be Kindy's!!

On a not-so-happy note, we just found out someone very close to our family is being deployed to Dubai at the beginning of the week. This news came to us very sudden and unexpectidly. We are thinking he will only be there for 80ish days but are not completly sure on when he will be home. He will be in our thoughts and prayers every day and we are 100% SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS! ...Sean, We can't wait to see you back home in January!

Our Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Thursday, Julie and I went on the Children's Corner field trip to the Pumpkin Patch and we had so much fun! Colson and Braden were running everywhere looking at all the cool stuff. Here are a few pics from that morning...

Waiting on the pig races to start...

And their off...

No Caverties! (that's toddler talk for cavity)

Colson took his first trip to the dentist today... I was nervous! He was very excited about getting to see the dentist and cooperated very well. His dentist is so sweet and quiet and calm which really helped keep Colson calm. Dr. Simmons said his teeth looked good and loved the fact that we call his teeth "Slimies", she said she had never heard that before, so I thought that was great!

This is Colson getting his headphones and bib put on. He loved the fact that he had a movie at the end of his feet and he just relaxed.

Dr. Simmons showing Colson what she was going to do on his teeth.

He finally opened his mouth and let her do her work.

Getting his teeth flossed. (I love the face the dentist is making.)

Happy Birthday Hunter!

Yesterday, the 25th, was Hunter's (my nephew) 11th Birthday! We all went to eat at Sakura and had a fun time!

Happy Birthday Hunter! We Love You!

i'll post some pics of that as soon as Julie emails me a few!

Introducing Frank...

I have decided to let Colson be Frankenstein for HALLOWEEN! Here is the picture off the website, I cant wait to try it on Cols. His costume will look super cute with his halloween "spider" bucket that Jaime Gaston made him! (She has a blog, check her out, she is great! Click Here to see her Blog!)

We have really got into the Halloween spirit this year with decorations and snacks, pumpkins, ghosts, scarecrows and witches! Colson has pumpkin lights around his window in his bedroom...Big blow-up pumpkin with ghost coming out of the top in the front yard... a ghost hanging in the carport that lights up... Hay Bales in the front with mums, scarecrow, and witch stuck in the hay, along with lots and lots of pumpkins... and not to mention all the pumpkins covering the inside the house.

I will post some pictures later of all the decor!

Is there a website I am missing out on to help me create one other than thecutestblogontheblock.com? (I tried that website and installed paint.com and it did not turn out cute and I could not get all the features to work)

Colson's First Day of Preschool...

Colson has now started Preschool! This is making me so sad. He was very excited to go, and didn't even mind me leaving him. As I was paying his tuition, Mrs. Joyce asked me if I needed a tissue for my tears and told me to read this when I got in the car.

It says:

I gave you a little wink and smile
As you entered my room today.
For I know how hard it is to leave
And know your child must stay.
You've been with him for 3 years now
And have been a loving guide,
But now, alas, the time has come
To leave him at my side
Just know that as you drive away
And tears down your cheeks may flow
I'll love him as I would my own
And help him learn and grow.
I do know how quickly the years can pass
I too have dropped my child at class.
So please put your mind at ease
And cry those tears no more
For I will love him and take him in
When you leave him at my door.

As I was there, I took a few pictures of Colson and Braden.(Yes, they are in the same class. That is one brave teacher.)

Labor Day Weekend!

We headed up to the lake on Friday to start our Labor Day Weekend. Colson had a blast and didn't want to come home. We had many first this weekend with Colson. He held a craw-dad(after Jeremiah pulled it pinchers out), held a brim in his hand all on his own, and went all the way under the water holding his nose! We accomplished alot! Here are a few pics!
