Colson is officially a 1st grader! It seems like I blink my eyes, and my babies are growing up! So far, Colson is having a good year and has an awesome teacher! We love school!

Colson celebrated his 6th birthday yesterday! It is so hard to believe I am the mother of a 6 year old! We always let him choose where he wants to eat his birthday dinner and for the past 3 years, he has picked Sakura. He loves to go there and order Hibachi Shrimp and Fried Rice! He also loves the soup they bring out... We will have his party this Saturday so I will post party pictures later!

My best friend, Lindsay is originally from Dodge City, KS. She graduated from KU and lived in Overland Park for 8 years before she moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 2008. She is 33 and is a Senior Account Executive for a Digital Marketing Agency. She enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, and spending time with her friends & family. She has the most genuine heart and she is truly a beautiful person! She is a great catch and any man would be so lucky to have her!

Lately...

I am a horrible blogger so this post will be a lot of pictures and a little talking.

My sister and I went to the Sugarland concert in in Little Rock. The next morning I got up and ran the Little Rock Marathon 5K... I finished with a good time despite that fact I was out till 11:30 the night before. oh and the fact that is was freezing cold and raining.

Colson got to go fishing all day with Jeremiah. It was cold, they left at 7:30am, stayed all day, and Colson caught his very first bass completely by himself. He even cast it to his lucky spot. It weighed about 3.5 lbs. Colson was so happy, but not as happy as his daddy was!!

Hudson started trying to climb out of his bed, so we made the switch to the toddler bed. He has done perfect! He loves it!

Colson and I ran the Civitan Peace, Love, 5k together. This was his first race and he did so good. We ran it in 43 minutes.

We are in full swing baseball mode. Colson has done great this year. He moved up to pitching machine and is doing so well at hitting off the machine. He also got to be the catcher one night.

Hudson got new sunglasses that he calls "eyes". We even eat a snack in them.

Hudson likes to go to Papa Joes store and play with grout samples.

I am tired of blogging all our Christmas festivities, so I'm skipping our last 2 Christmas adventures. Oops...

Anyway, I found these super cute Converse shoes several months ago and I had to have them. Hudson was wearing a size 3 at the time but they only had a size 5 left, and the website didn't even sell them anymore, so I bought them and put them in the closet till he was ready... Well, we are ready! And Hudson loves them. He likes to bring them to me for me to put them on, and then he ~~marches~~ dances in them.

Colson could not wait to open presents Christmas morning. He was so anxious to see what all Santa brought! We had to wake Hudson up, he wasn't as excited as Colson, but he ended up enjoying himself.

Christmas Eve 2010, Part 2

Hopefully Blogger is going to let me finish up my Christmas Posts tonight, I have several other posts I need to get up, so maybe we can get all caught up tonight!

Christmas Eve night was spent at my Memaws. This year was a special year because she "retired" her big tree. She is getting to the point where she is tired of messing with the big tree, so she wanted all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids to pick out some ornaments that we wanted to keep so we could have them for our family. Jeremiah was our ornament holder.

Hudson and I joined Colsons kindergarten class last Tuesday on their trip to the Library. They got to make a snowflake necklace, hear a story, and visit Santa.

Then on Thursday, the hospital my MIL works for had their annual Christmas party and the boys had another chat with Santa. I love how Hudson is checking out that beard!

Colson finally lost a tooth. He came home last Monday and told me he had a wiggly tooth, and we pulled it on Tuesday. I could not believe my baby lost a tooth so quickly. I wiggled both his bottom teeth Sunday and they would not budge, but something happened overnight and it was ready! Here he is right after I pulled it Tuesday.

The tooth fairy came and brought him $3. He thought he was rich!!

Here are just a few of our Christmas decorations this year. We only are doing a small tree this year because of Hudson. I really don't want to spend my entire day telling him "No-No, Don't Touch" so this way he can't reach it. I still haven't got around to doing the mesh around my entertainment center, so if that gets done, I'll do another post. But here is my sign I did for my front door. It looks so cute on our black door and it shows up great! I love the rhinestone ornaments on there too!

And here is the close up of our new tree skirt. I actually got this last year, just a few days before Christmas so I didn't get to enjoy it much. But I love it!! I had it made by a girl who also makes some super cute stockings and monogrammed stuff. Click HERE to visit her site.

Unintentional Blog Break...

So, my 3 blog readers may have noticed I haven't blogged since October, but I think my problem has been solved and maybe I'm back!

I installed IE9 and ever since I have been using it, I have not been able to upload any pictures to Blogger or Facebook, and a lot of times when I would try to read other blogs, the pages with pictures would never load up. It was so aggravating! So I finally have installed Google Chrome, and I think we are good to go! I'll be updating the blog with whats been going on since my hiatus over the next few days! Colsons First Day of School

Colson started his first day of school on August 19. He was super excited and couldn't wait to get to school. Me, on the other hand, I bawled like a baby! It was the longest day of my life and I watched the clock all day long! I couldn't wait to to go pick him up! He ended up having a great day. When I picked him up that afternoon, the first thing he told me was "Mom, I didn't even have to go to the principals office!"

That's right! Hudson is now a 1-year-old! It is so hard to believe that our tiny baby is turning into a little boy! He is growing so fast and developing quite the personality! We had his party on his actual birthday the 24th of July. We just had a family party here at our house and had a little get-together. Hudson had croup the previous week and been on steroids so he wasn't quite his normal spunky self, but he still had a good time and still wondered why there were so many people in his house! He loved his cake! He didn't know for sure if he liked the icing on his hands or not, but once he tasted it, he decided quickly that he really liked it. When he was finished, he let me know by dumping the rest of the cake in the floor!(and it went EVERYWHERE!) Here are a ~~few~~ ton of pictures of my little birthday boy!

Beach 2010

Here are the photos my friend Misti took while we were at the beach. The storm was rolling in and we didn't get as many shots as we wanted but I'm sure glad to have these few memories of my sweet family. (please excuse my terrible wind destroyed hair, the wind was crazy and sand was blowing in our faces like crazy!) Hopefully we can see our beaches look that pretty and clean again!

Colsons Birthday Present

Yesterday I mentioned we were going to get the rest of Colson's present. Well we went to Romancing the Stone in North Little Rock to purchase some hermit crabs. We ended up coming home with 3 little guys, 4 extra shells for them to change into: a spongebob, superman, batman, & spiderman, 2 hermit huts: a baseball and a spiderman, food, coral, a 50lb bag of sand, and all the other goodies that come along with owning crabs. We got them all settled in last night in my parents old aquarium. Colson has had so much fun learning about them and playing with them, (well, until they pinch him.) He also loves the fact they get to live in his room. Here are our new family members, Phineus, Ferb, and Candice (as in the show on Nickelodeon!) They are in the orange, red and yellow shells for now.

The Party

We had reserved the pool to have Colsons birthday party at. But here lately, we have been having a lot of summer rain showers, (which is very rare, usually at this point in July, everything has already burned up, due to the lack of rain, so I'm not complaning!) and it just so happend to start pouring down rain Sunday afternoon until about 6:30, and the party was at 7. Not just rain, but thunder and lightening too. So I had to make a decision on what we would do. We weren't going to cancel his party, (he would never understand), so I made a call to my friend Jaime who just so happens to own Touchdown Sally's here in Benton, told her the situation, and she told us she would be ready for us to crash her restaraunt at 7:30. She totally saved our party. I called all the parents and all our family and told them the change of plans. We ended up having a great time and the party went perfect! **For the record, we went to the pool to tell the lifeguards what was going on and they told us they understood. We got the restaraunt and not there was nothing but blue skies and no rain the entire party. Go figure!** Here are a few pictures!

Colson turns 5!!

Yes, you read that right! My little Colson is 5 years old! I have no idea how that happened! Its like I blinked and here he is, turning 5, and starting Kindergarten.

Colson turned 5 on July 6th, so we told him he could pick where he wanted to eat. He chose the "Shu-Shu" place, aka Sakura. He loves eating there and he always eats such a good dinner. We met my parents, and my nephew Braden there, and we stopped and picked up his buddy Eli, and had our own little party there.

My Little Fishie

The second week of June, Colson started swim lessons at Mills Park in Bryant. He loves the water, and has no fear. He loves going all the way under in the pool without holding his nose, but I needed him to learn how to become a swimmer.

Well, we still aren't "swimmer", but he did learn how to tread water, float on his back, kick his feet, and do arm circles. I am very impressed with what he learned and very pleased with Mills Park.

Colson ended up making some new friends, Jaggar and Nate. I already knew Jaggar and his mom, and we met Nate and his mom,Amy, and have ended up having a few play dates with the boys! They all have so much fun together! Here are some pics from the week!

Jeremiah turns 33!

I have become so behing on blogging! I have been reading everyone blogs, and commenting, but somehow, I have been overloaded with birthday parties.

I'll start back in June. Jeremiah turned 33 on the 11th, and I decided the week of his birthday, that I was going to throw him a surprise party that weekend. Crazy, I know. I got everything ready, sent him off to the lake Friday and Saturday, and expected him to be home by 5, Saturday night. Well, to brag, I successfully managed to surprise him. He had no idea. We had about 25 people over at the house and had a good evening hanging out, eating, and visiting.

This is my fine china. It Mikasa Platinum Crown.

I did not want to register for fine china when we got married, but my mom insisted I should. I never really use my "good stuff", but I know I will be so glad I have it in a few years.

My everyday dishes are my favorite! They are so pretty. They are very Thanksgiving-y, but we use them all the time. I love my extra pieces that are especially for the fall. I also don't have white accent plates, we just have the brown, but I couldn't find a picture of what we actually have. They are Mikasa Countryside Harvest.

Friday, my big boy graduated preschool. I cannot believe he will be starting Kindergarten in a few short months. He has seriously grown up so fast.

We had the graduation at one of his classmates house. They had a huge backyard and lots of stuff for all the kids to play on. After graduation, they had a picnic and played some more. My sister took pictures of the boys and I filmed it, however, I have no clue how to post the video on here. The graduation was so cute and Mrs. Joyce has done a great job with the kids. We are so thankful we had such a great teacher the past 2 years (even though she informed me she won't get to be Hudson's teacher when he starts preschool).

Colsons Tea Party

Colsons class had thier annual Tea Party on Wednesday. On the paper I got out of his bag it mentioned they could dress up. So I racked my brain on what he could wear and all I could come up with last minute was a tie shirt. I ended up making the boys shirts right before we left the house. (Let me explain,... we were out of town the week before and we didn't get the note till last minute. And I had never been to a tea party to know the dress code and Jeremiah went last year in my place. Don't judge!)

The tea party was so cute and all the kids had a good time. All the kids used great manners and even put the napkin in thier laps. Here are some pictures I got!

Help Moms

I am starting to feel like we should start introducing table food to Hudson. He is 10 months old now and has 4 teeth, 2 uppers and 2 bottoms. I've read some mom blogs that say they did table food at 8-9 months but I just now feel ready.

He does good eating fruit puffs and fruit in his little mashers, but he hates stage 3 food from a jar. Does anyone have any suggestions on when to introduce certain foods first and what to avoid. Please don't suggest french fries.

Beach, Part 2

Tuesday night after we had our pictures done, we headed to Lulu's to eat. Usually you can expect a 2 hour wait, but since it was late, we walked right in. However, the wait for our food took a little while. To entertain ourselves, we took pictures. There are about 50 more of Colson making silly faces, but I thought these few were enough!

Wednesday, we headed into town to eat lunch and get a few more groceries, Colson had been begging to go into the "Shark" store and to get a boogie board. While we were in there, the boys had to try on some coon hats. Colson looks a little "red neck" with all his tatoos and his muscle shirt. Oops!

...Hudson fell asleep in his exersaucer before dinner...

That night, we headed to the Oyster House to eat with Darren, Misti, and the kids. These next few are of Colson, Hudson and Catrin, and Calyn.

My Huddy is 10 months old!

I have been terrible doing monthly posts of Hudsons Birthdays. But, here is his 10 month post.

All about Hudson:

Weighs 18.5 pounds
Wears size 4 diapers, and 3-6 month shorts, 12-18 month shirts
Has finally stopped army crawling and crawls on his knees
Pulls up on everything he can, but not letting go to walk
Says: mamma, dadda, bubba, and bye-bye, and he waves with both hands
Loves to eat... but doesn't like clumpy food
He has 4 teeth, 2 up top, 2 on bottom
Loves to stand in his crib and play with his babies, we had to take the moblie off because he tore it down multiple times in a day
He is into everything, nothing is safe anymore
He is a biter. I have no idea where this comes from. Colson never bit, so this is all new to us.

This is one of our most favorite ages. I love how loving he can be and also how independent he can be. He is just so fun! We are so in love with him!

Beach 2010

We left Sunday after church to start our long jounrey to the BEACH! After a little nap, a movie or 3, and a bottle, Hudson was getting antsy. So as any good mom would do, I crawled back to the back seat to sit with him...and take pictures!

On Monday, we finally made it to the beach! Colson was so excited he could hardly breathe. Hudson, wasn't so sure about it.

These are of us before we went out to eat... We met some great people that day, the lady came up to me and asked me if I wanted her to take a picture of the 4 of us, so of course I let her. Come to find out, she is a photographer, in Conway... How random. She also told me she would do our family pictures that night on the beach if I could take her family pictures for her! Ughh, DUH! Of course. It ended up getting darker a lot sooner than they thought, so she is having to edit those pictures before she can send them to me. I can't wait to see what she got! Their business is called Capture That Photography, and they are Darren and Misti, they have some great stuff on their blog! Go check them out!

A little transformation

I found this dresser at the Habitat for Humanity store a few weekends ago. I wanted to use it for a buffet table in my kitchen. I got a great deal on it and only spent $35 on it. This was a very inexpensive project and was fairly easy as well.

Hudson's Jabbers

Everytime I get the camera out or my phone out lately to record what Hudson is saying, he immediately stops and fusses at me. Well this morning while we were playing in his room and he wasn't watching me, I recorded him talking. He is so funny and has learned several new tricks so I am so excited I got it recorded. I love how deep his little voice is and I love how is saying bye-bye while waving backwards. I love how he says "mamma" and "dadda" and "bubba" and sometimes he lets us hear his "monster voice"! He is just so precious to us and we are so glad we get to be his parents!

My Bestie's Birthday!

Saturday is my best friend Lindsay's Birthday! She is the most sweetest lady I know. She loves our baby boys and she is definetly a part of our family. Lindsay flew all the way to Arkansas from Kansas to come to our wedding, we drove to Kansas for her 30th birthday, she came to stay with us last year around Christmas, she just is always here for the important things. Luckily, she now lives in Rogers, which is much closer than Kansas!
So Lindsay, I hope you have the best birthday ever! We love you and miss you. Thanks for loving my little family so much! The boys love you and can't wait to see you!! XOXO Sisser Punkin!!

The weather here has been absolutely perfect! Yesterday afternoon, Jeremiah and I decided to take the boys to play at the park, and to get some fresh air. Hudson didn't have too much fun,(I think he is getting more teeth, and has been really fussy) but Colson had a blast. At one point he told me, "Mom, I didn't come to take pictures, I came to play!"

Monday night, Colson had his very first T-Ball game. It was so much fun to watch him run around like a crazy man. His team did so good and they were all so cute! Colsons Bumps

I really have been needing to blog this for almost 2 weeks, but we have been having major computer issues and I didn't have these pictures on my phone.

Colson had to have about 10 bumps frozen off his neck at the beginning of the month. We really have tried to amp Colson up about having them froze off because we were thinking it wouldn't be the most pleasant experience. However, He has shown us how tough he really is. The only time they have bothered him was the day it was done. Four hours after they put the medicine on them, we, and by we I mean I, had to take his band aids off his neck and Jeremiah had to wash the spots with soap and warm water. As soon as I started peeling off the band aids, I saw the fear in his eyes, and I lost it. It hurt him so much because the tape of the band aid was on the head of the bump, and it almost ripped it off. I think that aggravated them so much that the soap and water was excruciating. After he calmed down, he was fine, we played outside the rest of the morning, and then some more that afternoon.

I was prepared for this day to be the end of the world. I was already ready to give him some major TLC. I went and got his request he had put in at the beginning of the week, which consisted of Fruit Roll-Ups, and real Rice Krispy treats. I also made his some chocolate covered strawberries, and put together a goodie bag. I think he had one or two fruit roll-ups, 2-3 strawberries, and no rice krispy treats. He looked in his bag and said, "Nah, you can have it Dad..." and that was that.

We go back Thursday to see "Dr. Bumpits" for his follow up appointment. I'm thinking we may have to freeze another spot or 2. We will see!!

By the way, the bumps are Molluscum contagiosum. It is a relatively common viral infection of the skin that most often affects children. It results in firm bumps (papules) that are painless and usually disappear within a year without treatment. If the papules are scratched or injured, the infection can spread to surrounding skin.--Mayo Clinic.

Hudson at 7 months

Wow. Alot has gone on since our 6 month post. Hudson is learning so much and doing so much fun stuff right now. This has been our favorite age with him so far!! It's amazing to see how much he has changed in so little time.

We are trying soooo hard to sit up all by ourself. He is so close!!

We have 2 new teeth on the bottom and are very sharp.

We make a super cute papaw face!

Hudson weighs about 16.5 pounds. He wears a 9 month shirt, 6 month bottom, and a size 3 diaper. He has started saying bubbabubba and dadda the most, but today has been saying mammamamma alot. He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth, but ends up scooting to whatever he is trying to get. He gets around very quickly that way. He has finally decided it's not so hard to hold his bottle now, which really makes things much easier. Hudson has been eating better this month too. He is having an 8oz bottle in the morning, has a veggie and a fruit for lunch with a little bottle to wash it all down, an afternoon snack bottle, a veggie for dinner with juice, then a cereal bottle before bed. I bought him some fruit puffs yesterday to try and I don't think he knew what to do with them. I'm anxious to start the baby yogurt with him too. He is such a smiley, happy boy now!!! I could just eat him up!!!

Today as my mom was checking the mail, she noticed an envelope that looked vaguely familier. She opened it up to find this...

It's the RSVP card from mine and Jeremiah's wedding. The funny thing is, we asked that the RSVP be returned by March 1, 2008 which is almost exactly 2 years ago, and also is was just postmarked yesterday. I'm guessing it just got lost in the mail! It looks a little beat up.
I wonder how much stuff gets lost in transit??

Colsons Valentine Party

Friday was Colsons Valentine party at school. We were excited to go because we had to miss last years party due to the flu.
I love looking around at all the creative blogs becuase they have the cutest treats and ideas. I made these Valentines

The heart crayons were alot of fun for Colson and I to make together. Pulling all that paper off those crayons takes time. I also had Colson write his name on all his Valentines. He has had problems writing his "S" the right way, so having the bowl of M&M's beside us while he was writing served as a treat for him also! It's amazing what M&M's can get you to do!
I saw some shirts on Etsy for the boys that I loved, but there was no way I was spending $40 per shirt for VDay, so I made these, which I think turned out super cute!

Snow Day 2010

Colson is loving this snow! He has played in it a little but does NOT like getting his hands wet or cold, so we do our snow playing in spurts. As for Hudson, we have only taken him out for his photo shoot with dad and brother. He didn't like being all bundled up, but other than that, I got a few smiles!

Superbowl XLIV (44), Colts vs Saints will kick off in Miami tomorrow night! So, in leu of the festivities, I spent the afternoon over at my sisters house helping decorate for the party! Hudson at 6 months!!

Okay, so I am not that far behind. Hudson has only been 6 months since Sunday, so I am doing good! I can not believe my little baby is 1/2 a year old. I also cannot believe my big baby is about to start Kindergarten! That is a whole post in itself, if I can ever bring my self to accepting it!

Today, my mom and I decided on a little impromtu photo session with Hudson. I have never had his pictures done anywhere, other than the terrible ones I do, so we headed to Little Rock. We just took him to Sears, so we could be cheap, and quick! They don't do the best pictures, but when your little man is the most precious little boy in the world, you can't have bad pictures! Overall, I'm okay with how they turned out! However, I cannot wait till we get some good family pictures done the spring! Here are a few pictures from his photo shoot! Enjoy!

Here are Hudson's Tidbits:
*We haven't been to get the 6 month shots yet, so I'll have to post that information later
*Started eating food very well, he eats a jar of veggies, and a jar of fruit for lunch.
*Does not like green veggies or peaches
*He is sleeping better during the day, still waking up around 4 and eventually goes back to sleep without us coming in
*Wears size 2 diapers
*Wears 6-12 month outfits and 3-6 month jeans and pants
*Still waiting on these teeth to come in
*Almost sits up all by himself! We are getting sooooooo close!

As for Colson:
He has learned so much this month at school. He now knows his phone number, his whole name, his birthday, all his letter up to N, the difference from left to right, and he now knows our address. Kindergarten, HERE WE COME! Also, We are signing up for T-ball this weekend! He is so excited to play, so be looking forward to some baseball posts in the near future! That tush will be so cute in those pants!

Hudson turned 5 months on Christmas Eve. It is so hard to believe 6 months, half a year, is quickly approaching! Hudson is such a sweet, happy, funny little boy! I love him!

Hudson's Tidbits:

He can roll over from his back to his belly
Takes a 6oz cereal bottle when he wakes up and before he goes to bed
We stopped baby food for a little bit, it seemed like it was causing his reflux to flair up alot more
Has finally started napping during the day, PTL
Has learned how to make his lips make noise, thanks to his Papaws
Has started reaching out for people to hold him, this melts our hearts

That night, after my moms, we headed to my BIL and SIL's house for Christmas with Jeremiah's Dad. We ate appetizers and just had a laid back evening. We all buy gifts for the kids, and Jeremiah's dad, but for the adults we played Dirty Santa. I ended up playing dirty and stole the good North Face pullover for Jeremiah to have, and he stole the vases I wanted. That way, noone else could steal our stuff! Tacky, huh? After Christmas Eve with Jeremiahs grandparents, we rest, cook what we gotta cook, and head over to my Memaws, my mom's mom, around 6. We eat, talk, and usually Santa stops by while he is waiting on all the kids to go to sleep that night! In the past several years, we have become overloaded with babies, so it is always fun to watch the kids interact, or runaway from Santa.

Well, I have a lot of catching up to do! I'm been lazy with my blogging, so lazy that I didn't even realize my last post was my 100th post! Not that I would have done anything special or my BIG post, just would have made note of it... Oh Well, on to Christmas...

Christmas is always so busy with our families. We have so many places to go that it seems to get overwhelming and stressful! This year, we tried to make it not so hard on everyone. Since we had a 5 month old, we had to schedule some naps and playtime in between opening presents and eating 12 meals a day.

This year, we started off on Wednesday, not by choice. Jeremiah's dad's dad, his grandpaw, passed away and the funeral was set for Wednesday. We got to see a lot of family that we don't normally get to see and talk to. So aside from the passing of Papaw Kindy, we had a nice time of fellowship.

Thursday, Christmas Eve, we started off by going to Jeremiah's other grandparents house. This was Jeremiah's mom's parents. We had some flooding issues so it took us over an hour to get there, rather than 15 minutes. So we were late, but we weren't the only ones. Once we all got there, his uncle grilled some burgers and hotdogs and there was meal #1. I always like that we eat non-traditionally over there, I'm not much on turkey and all the trimmins' so that was a great meal! The boys got some neat stuff from "the Granny-paws" and we got a new recliner! Whoo Hoo! Here are a few pictures, I'm stealing some of these from my SIL.

Hudson is 4 months old

Hudson turned 4 mo. old on the 24th of November. Which I believe was Thanksgiving Day, so that helps explain why his birthday post is late!

Hudson is becoming so much more fun nowadays. He is finally out of the grumpy, crabby phase and has stepped into the fun, laughing, smiling phase. It is a very welcomed phase around here!

Hudson's Tidbits...
-Hudson started rolling from his stomach to his back.
-He is laughing and cooing at us all the time.
-He notices when he is alone in the room.
-He is still sleeping kinda well! He has started waking up around 2am and jabbering for about 20 minutes and then goes back to sleep and lately has been getting up at 5 or 6 for the morning. Lucky Mommy!
-We had our 4 month shots, 2 in one leg and 1 in the other. He ran fever with this set of shots for about 2 days and was extremly fussy. Hopefully 6 month shots wont be as tough on him.
-Hudson weighs 12lbs, 15.3oz; 14th percentile
-24.5 inches long, which is the 35th percentile and his head is 15 3/8inches, 1%.
-He wears mainly 3-6 month clothes, and size 1 diapers.
-We started some baby food this month, he loves squash and green beans and doesn't mind his carrots or sweet peas either.
-We have gone back to our passy too, not all the time, just when he can't get to his thumb.

I can't wait to share Christmas with Hudson. I know he wont know anything, but it is still fun starting new traditions with him and Colson!

A Picture Post

Here are just a few pictures from the past few days. Not a whole lot has gone on around here besides Thanksgiving, which was pretty low key. We didn't do a whole lot because my mom just got out of the hospital from her hip replacement (on Wednesday), so we just played it simple so she could enjoy being home.

Here are some pictures of the boys and Jeremiah's dad, aka Papa Joe. They came over Tuesday night for Thanksgiving at our house. We had a good time and the kids love playing together!

Howl-O-Ween 2009

This post is a little late, but my camera was left at home, so I had to borrow these from my mom.

Colson wanted to be a werewolf for Halloween, and all we could find was this... a "green-belly wolf". I have no idea where he got this idea, but that's the only thing he wanted. We spent several nights looking at costume websites, and this is all he would agree on!

Most of you would think by the looks of this picture, that he was going to kiss my cheek, but...

This is what I got. Here's the story, my sister and my mother thought it would be "funny" and a "good picture" if it acted like he was eating my face, well, Colson didn't realize he could bite through that mask, but LET ME TELL YOU, he did! It hurt so bad, and left a beautiful bruise! Poor Colson, he felt so bad for hurting me! He told me that the "green belly wolf" better not EVER bite his mommy again!

As for Hudson, I was going to let him wear the costume that Colson wore his very first Halloween, but I found this little horse costume at Cracker Barrel. We had to get it!

I was not able to get very many pictures of the boys on Halloween because of the death in my family. We had visitation at the funeral home that night, so things were a little hectic around here. So I'm not neglecting the kids Halloween, I just wanted to enjoy the rest of the night taking my werewolf trick-or-treating! Huddy stayed and helped his Nana hand out candy! and sleep.

I am not claiming to be any good at taking pictures, but I realized tonight that I have no nakee pictures of my little Hudson. Part of this is my fault, but another reason is that I cannot get a call back from a real photographer. I think part of this is because it prime holiday season and they are super busy, but my baby is getting big and there comes a certain time that nakee pictures are a little creepy. Take a look at this bucket from my friend Jaime over at Whimsy Tin. She does such a good job on the boys buckets! This is Hudson's Halloween bucket we got. He told me he "really wanted the one with the owls on it" and it turned out so cute! Jaime, I told you he would like it, he didn't want to let go of it!

Well, little Hudson is growing so fast! Its amazes me at how much he has changed in the past month. I love to see him grow but it breaks my heart because I remember that Colson was once this size, and now is such a big boy.

Hudson's Tidbits:
--Wears size 1 diapers still
--He is wearing all his 3-6 month clothes
--Loves wearing shoes. We have quite a few pair!
--Goes to bed at 8pm and wakes up around 7:30 or 8 the next morning, and is usually STARVING!
--Has 1 cereal bottle a day, usually in the morning.
--Takes 6oz of formula every 3 to 3.5 hours
--We still have to take our Prevacid. It really helps the reflux!
--Smiles ALL the time and even giggles.
--Has figured out he can make noise and is a talker, just like Brother.
--No longer wants a passy, we love our thumb! Its precious watching him find that thumb. Yes, he went from loving it, to not ever wanting it in a matter of a month.
--We have said "bye bye" to the witching hour! Thank You Lord!

Hudson,
You have no idea how much your mommy and daddy love you! You bring such joy to our lives. I love how you are already in love with your big brother. You always smile when he gets in trouble, so this makes me a little nervous for when you and him start playing together. You also love to talk to Brother. We thank God everyday for our 2 healthy little boys! We love you so much!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We made our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch with Colson' s Preschool yesterday. After re-scheduling the trip 2 different times, the weather finally cooperated with us and the day turned out beautiful!

The first thing we did was a Hay Ride, Colson really enjoyed it. He liked looking at all the little Christmas Trees and the hay bales made into spiders.

Then off to the Pig Races. At the pig race, all the kids got to enjoy Pretzels and "Pumpkin" Juice. Here is Braden with his snack.

If I have learned anything about a 4-year old, it is that, it is so hard to get a picutre of him smiling, or looking at the camera, or with open eyes. That's why I have hardly any decent pictures of him while we were there.

Deer Camp 2009

Its Deer Season yet again. As much as I really dislike deer season, this little boy LOVES it.

Colson got to go out on the stand with his Daddy on Saturday and spend the evening looking for a "Monster" Buck. Jeremiah said they accomplished "being the loudest stand on the lease". This leads me to believe that Colson has a little bit of me in him. When I'm bored I tend to get a little chatty, or restless. Seems like Colson will have a little bit to work on before going back out there to hunt.

Notice anything? I guess when he gets bored at deer camp, he uses dad's work pencils to draw and "take notes".

Show Us Your Life- Baby Gear

Kelly is hosting a Baby Gear tour over on her blog and I thought I would participate this week.

Baby Gear gets a wee bit overwhelming when trying to decide what is worth the money and what is a waste. Here are just a few things I am glad we got and also a few things that were a waste for us.

Things we like and use...

1.

This is our stroller we bought for Hudson. We LOVE it. It's the Chicco Cortina Travel System, in Discovery. We love it because it comes with a stroller and infant car seat. It folds down easily. It rolls well on rock, grass, and the mall floor! Also, the car seat is very padded so Huddy's tushie is very comfy! It is also very cute and boyish!

2.
These are the Fisher Price Dual Sounds N Lights Monitor. I wanted to have 2 monitors so I could carry one around the house, or take to the bathroom while I showered or even if I walked outside. The other one of course stays in our bedroom plugged in by our bed. They work great and have little or no static.

3.
Here is Hudson's Fisher-Price Precious Planet Whale of a Tub. Any infant tub will work, but of course I had to have the one that was super cute. Hudson loves his bath in his little tub. These tubs are good for them to lay back in and relax. He also doesn't slip around in here either.

4.
The Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker Bouncy Seat! Oh how I wish I would have had this when Hudson was about 3 weeks old. It vibrates and soothes him almost instantly. We had a portable swing, but he didn't like it too much. I was desperate and had to have something else to put Hudson in during the day other than his bed, my arms, or his swing he didn't love. It also has an activity bar that hangs over his head and he is really starting to reach for his toys.

5.
This is our Tiny Love Sweet Island Dreams Mobile. It really is good for us because Hudson will lay in there and just listen to his music and kick and stretch and watch the animals go around and around. The only thing I would like to be different about this is the music only stays on 20 minutes and then turns off. Hudson would lay in there longer if it would not turn off. I really liked it for when I was washing the filthy Dr. Browns Bottles.
Which leads me to...

6.
Dr. Brown's are really good for colic but terrible to clean. We only had 7 bottles and it took me 45 minutes to get them and all the 900 parts clean. I did not plan on using these, but my great friend Anna told me they were the only thing that worked for Gage's colic and I should try them. She gave me some of Gage's to try and she was right, THEY WORKED! But, I have changed back to...

7.

Avent bottles. They do tend to leak if you don't get the lid on just right, but other than that, they work good. They are easy to clean because they only have the ring, nipple, and bottle. I can't wait (well i really can) to wash a days worth to see how much time I save when washing these. I also used these with Colson and he never had a problem with them.

Things we didn't like or use...
1. The infant sleep positioner. We never used one. We never saw a need for it.
2. The wipes warmer. I used one with Colson, and the first time I went to use the wipies, they were completely dried out.
3. The Diaper Genie. They stink, literally. They make me gag. We just throw diapers away in the kitchen trash if they are dirty. That gets taken out quicker than a genie would. We do have a small can in his room for his wet diapers that we take out often as well.

I hope this can help narrow down some options for any expecting parents. Just remember all babies are different and what some love, others wont!

Memaw and The Boys

I was pilfering through my mom's camera and ran across these cute pics of the boys and my grandmother right after Hudson was born and I thought they were so sweet, so I had to post.

This is my beautiful Memaw, my mom's mom. She lives on her beautiful pond and everytime we are there, Colson has to go outside with Memaw and feed the ducks.

Well, my little baby is now 2 months old. He celebrated his day by getting over his 2 mo. check-up and shots. He did fine getting his shots, but once they kicked in, they made him feel yucky. It was like he was a zombie. As for his appointment, everything went perfect. Hudson now weighs 10lbs, 4.5oz. He has come a long way since he was born(6lbs, 1oz). We were at the doctor for his reflux instead of his well baby check-up so they didn't measure him or tell me his percentiles, so I'll leave that spot blank in the baby book. It's amazing how much he has changed since the very first time I saw him. He learns something new everyday.

Hudson's Tidbits:
--Wears size 1 diapers
--Can wear a lot of his 3 mo clothes
--None of his shoes fit him yet, (but I did order him a pair that should be here in a few days, so I hope they will fit his tiny toes.)
--Will MAYBE, and I stress "maybe", take a 3 hour nap most days,...if I'm lucky

--Wakes up around 3 or 4am for a feeding, then back to bed...that is if he is feeling well

--Experiences "Witching Hour" nightly from 6:00 on the dot, till about 8:00. This is usually a stressful hour around our house. We make sure we are home at this point, because there is nothing you can do to console him except for taking him outside. He's not hungry, wet, dirty, sick or sleepy. Just fussy. NOT FUN...

--Takes 4, sometimes 5oz of formula and at night gets to have cereal added to his milk

--Has started "talking" to us and grinning so big. It melts our hearts! Colson always wants to make him smile.

--His nickname from Colson is "Huds" and "Little Punkin"

--LOVES, and I mean LOVES his passy.

--Got to experience his 1st fishing tournament with his Daddy, and survived. He didn't get to go on stage however, he was waking up from a nap... :(

AND,

--Can sit in his Bumbo... which he is still unsure of, but getting the hang of it.

We just love this little addition to our family so much! He is a little doll... We thank God everyday for blessing us with him!

My Little Beckham

Colson has started playing soccer this fall. It is so funny to see him running like a mad man across the field. We were a little apprehensive on putting him in sports so soon because of all the out-of-control parents who only care about winning, but we caved and he is having a blast. We have only had a couple practices, but its getting close to game time, so this will be interesting. All the kids on our team are in preschool, so none of them have any clue as to what they are supposed to do. I can't wait to see him in a real game! I'll post a video of his first game soon!

Before we went to the Razorback game, we had a wedding to go to. This was both of the boys first wedding to attend, and to my surprise, they were both well behaved. (except that at one point, Colson found a stick and pretended he was a deer with antlers, luckily it was an outdoor wedding!) Here are a few pictures of us at the wedding.

Go Hogs Go

Jeremiah and I took Colson to his very 1st Razorback game over the weekend, and it was a SUCCESS! He had so much fun watching the band enter the stadium, looking at Tusk, the pig, yelling "First Down", calling those Hogs, and eating one of each concession stand item. We let him get his face painted and by the end of the night, that paint was EVERYWHERE. Oh well, all that matters is that he had fun, and I'd say mission accomplished! I can't wait to take him to another game!

Another 1st over the weekend, our friend Lindsay, has been living in NW Arkansas for exactly 1 year, and she got to experience her first Razorback game. We joined the Suggs family and took her tailgating for a couple hours and I think she had almost as much fun as Colson, except that her purse fell under the bleachers and all her stuff got dumped out. Everything except for her makeup compact was rescued! I am so glad we were with her for her first football experience!
